Mulberry's physical therapy department is truly outstanding, having not only helped my mother through rehabilitation with her shoulder replacement, but also working on strengthening her legs, teaching her the proper way to use walking aids and additionally diagnosing that she has an severe inner ear problem which causes vertigo, hence the reason for many of her falls. So they are also working with her on improving that balance issue. The progress she has made in just a few weeks has been miraculous, which continues to motivate my mom to work hard as our entire family cheers her on from the sidelines.
While we look forward to our mother being able to return to her home in a few months, we know that she is in the best possible place right now and is receiving exceptional care from the entire Mulberry family of caregivers. I feel so happy to know she will come home stronger and more capable of caring for herself. She is learning so much about living well at her age and taking better care of herself from all the nurses, counselors and therapists.
My mother immediately responded well to the smart, positive and caring staff at Mulberry, all who have good humor and great respect for their clients and families. They all work so well together, a real team spirit and warm, loving atmosphere exists at Mulberry. My mother was initially so worried and upset about needing nursing home and rehabilitation hospital care for an extended period of time, but within the very first hours, she was comfortable and happy at Mulberry. She even enjoys the food and regularly compliments the kitchen staff and the care they take to get her meals just right.
The nurses and CNAs are kind and respectful and very helpful. My family came in to visit and said it was the nicest health care facility they'd ever seen.
Mulberry took great care of my grandma. The staff was great. The business office was great to work work. Always kept me informed. Kristen on 100 unit is/was our angel. She has great love and compassion for her patients and family!
This is the nicest retirment center I've ever seen. I've worked at quite a few of them, too! They have great activities like taking the residents out to Wal-Mart, going out to dinner and walking outside, as weather permits.
The facility itself is also very nice. It is modern, very clean and well taken care of. The grounds are beautiful and the countryside setting is very picturesque and peaceful. As a family, we enjoy taking Mom on a picnic on the grounds, or out into one of the many terraces or courtyards. We also bring our dogs in to visit, which she really enjoys.
I moved into my Cottage 3 yrs ago, having lived for over 50 yrs in Lafayette, IN. I reached a stage in my life where I no longer wanted the responsibility of upkeep & maintenance on my home. Mowing grass & shoveling snow was becoming a challenge. My children lived miles away & I wished to remain independent but live in an environment that would take care of me as I grew older. Well, I have found the right retirement community! I love living here! My fellow independent Cottagers are fun to be with on our many adventures and gatherings. We enjoy trips, social events & similar interests. I recently had hip replacement surgery and spent 3 weeks recuperating in the short-term rehab unit where I received excellent, professional care until I was ready to return to my Cottage. I now know why Mulberry Health has achieved a 5 Star Rating in the Health Care Industry.

I had to go into a lot of extended care facilities for my old job, and this is by far the most pleasant in the area. The residents always seem generally happy and the staff appear very satisfied with their employment. A benchmark that I would commonly use to determine the quality of facility is the smell while walking down the halls. Without getting into too much detail, if you have been in a lesser quality facility you know what I am talking about. This place always smelled great, especially when their kitchen staff was whipping up what looked like some awesome food. Didn't expect the quality of standards in such a small town!
I am so grateful that our family found Mulberry Health for our mother's care following a major falling incident that resulted in several broken bones and her needing a full shoulder replacement. She has received the best care at Mulberry of any health care facility she has ever visited.
